About
My journey began with undergraduate studies in Psychology, Health Sciences, and Nursing at Stony Brook University, where I developed a strong interest in understanding the connection between the human mind and body.
After becoming a nurse, I gained experience across diverse medical settings—including Medical-Surgical, Gastroenterology, and Medical and Psychiatric Emergency — building a comprehensive understanding of the medical dimensions of health and illness.
While completing my training as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) at George Washington University, I also began a Psychoanalytic fellowship to deepen my understanding of psychotherapy and the root causes of psychological symptoms. These experiences reinforced my conviction that meaningful healing requires a holistic, integrative approach - one that attends to the whole person rather than focusing solely on symptom reduction
I offer an integrative model that brings together psychotherapy and medication management. Medication can ease overwhelming emotions and debilitating symptoms, creating the space needed to engage more fully in psychotherapy and in daily life. Psychotherapy provides the foundation for developing a deeper understanding of yourself - Your patterns, your relationships, and the experiences that have shaped you - paving the way for meaningful and lasting change.
I also remain deeply committed to ongoing professional growth through advanced training, fellowships with the Washington Baltimore Center for Psychoanalysis and the Contemporary Freudian Society. These experiences continually deepen my clinical skills and help me remain grounded, reflective, and present in my therapeutic work.
